Welcome to Sunday Candle Co. We are so glad that you're here!
My name is Kellie Freemyer and I am the owner of Sunday Candle Co. I grew up in the tiny town of Conception Junction, MO and moved to Maryville, MO when I started college in the fall of 2018. While working towards my degree in Agriculture Business I met my now husband, Taylar. After two years of dating he popped the question and we tied the knot on New Year's Eve of 2022.
We had both received our degrees and started our careers shortly before we were married and accepted jobs in our neighboring hometowns. It seemed everything was lining up perfectly. Shortly after our wedding I felt like God was calling me to do something different. I had always known that I wanted to run a business but I wasn't sure exactly what kind. So I took to none other than TikTok to do some research and came across candle making. I knew right away this was the business for me!
From there we started brainstorming name ideas and what we felt like would depict exactly what our business was all about. Sunday Candle Co. stuck out to me right away. First and foremost, we wanted to give the glory to God because without Him we wouldn't have this business. Secondly, when people think of our candles we want them to think of relaxation and a comforting addition to their lives, and what's more relaxing than a lazy Sunday afternoon? We both agreed this was the perfect name for our business!
The Spring and Summer of 2023 consisted of me doing a ton of research and trial and error to make the cleanest and best smelling product I could make. August 8, 2023 we launched our Facebook page and started taking orders!
Flash forward to now, we have welcomed our son Auten, started selling at a few local businesses, collabed with multiple businesses, attended many markets, events and pop-ups and met so many amazing people along the way!
We are so grateful for God bringing us this community and can't wait to see where he leads our business and family in the future. Thank you for being a part of our story!
